The Ezra LeMarpe Sderot Medical Rehabilitation Center provides daily rehabilitation and other long term recovery treatments to an estimated 300-400 severely injured citizens from the Sderot region, suffering from various injuries including neurological, spinal and orthopedic injuries, soft tissue damage (muscles, tendons, ligaments), amputations, and a greater susceptibility to diseases and mental illnesses.

Furthermore, many of the wounded and their families in the Sderot region have found themselves having to tackle the stresses of long and costly commutes to distant medical rehabilitation facilities, mainly in Israel’s center. Unable to find a local medical rehabilitation facility, many have also struggled to afford the high costs of transportation.
